a fun local gift: cooking classes at architectural justice!

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that my obsession with Architectural Justice Gallery and Cafe in Strongsville runs deep. It’s a dangerous thing that it’s right down the street from me! Not only is it a stunning home decor/gift shop and cafe (that I spend wayyyyy too much time at), they also offer cooking classes in their Sub-Zero Wolf demonstration kitchen. Ben and I attended a class during a media night a few weeks ago and I was simply blown away. I found it to be very different from any cooking class I’ve ever been to before…in the best way! The classes hold 16 students, split up into 4 stations. Each station made a part or 2 of the meal (with some chef assistance!) and at the end, it all came together. I’ve been to cooking classes where you only get a small sample of what you made or nothing at all, but at the end of the cooking portion of this class, we sat down (at that insane marble table!) and had a FULL meal, with a heaping plate of everything that we made. Our menu was amazing – eggplant caponata with crostini, Italian salad with champagne vinaigrette, mushroom and herb arancini, chicken piccata with lemon sauce and homemade linguine, and orange scented florentine lace cookies with gelato. I meannnnn it doesn’t get much better than that! We even got a little recipe booklet so that we can re-create the meal at home.

I always love giving activities as holiday gifts, and I think this would be such a special gift for your mom, significant other, etc. It’s the perfect girl’s night out or date night. See the full cooking class schedule here and hurry because they are always selling out!
