Last Saturday, a group of bloggers met at the Aurora Farms Premium Outlets for a fun little event. The mission? To find and purchase a new spring outfit for under $75 in about an hour.

As soon as I heard the task, I knew I wanted to try and check some things off my spring wish list…a list that includes but is definitely not limited to a white button up, white jeans, tassel sandals, an off the shoulder top and some new pants. It had been awhile since I’d shopped at the Aurora outlets (lots of back to school memories came rushing back, though!) so armed with my map, some coupons and my $75, I was ready. I was actually able to find all of the items on my list and had to narrow it down to build my outfit. Apparently, I had functionality on my mind that day because I skipped the trends (like an off the shoulder top and tassel sandals) and went for two really classic pieces – a pair of olive green joggers from Saks off 5th ($35) and a white button down from Banana republic ($40). I admit, I probably could have purchased a cheaper top and done a little more with the $75 (shoes, accessories, etc). However, when ya know, ya know. And, I knew I was in love with that top so I went with it! The winner of the day was definitely Nadine who was able to purchase pants, a top, a hat and a bag all right on budget. See her post here. Impressive!

I’m most excited about the versatility of these pieces. They are truly classic and I can wear them all year round. I can’t wait to try the joggers with a fun printed top and the white button down with some cutoffs.

After we shopped, we headed to Thorncreek Winery to put on our new outfits, have a glass of wine (delish) and sample some of their amazing appetizers (even more delish)! I can’t say enough about the winery. I need to go back this summer and explore on a sunnier day!

All in all, it was a great afternoon full of some of my favorite things. I wouldn’t mind spending every Saturday with some deal hunting followed by some vino!

Disclosure: I was gifted $75 to shop with. All opinions are my own.
