Bath time is now double the fun in this house! With two babes, we like to make baths as easy as possible. Here are some of the things that we swear by!
Baby bath with a thermometer
I thought this was kind of a silly thing to register for at first (it felt over the top) but I actually really love our baby bath with a built in thermometer. It alerts us if the water gets too cold or too hot. I still feel like I’m in that delirious new mom phase so the alerts are appreciated! It fits over our kitchen sink or in the bath tub so whichever we’re feeling that night, we do!
Probably more crucial for the toddler years but we love having cute, colorful bath toys on hand. For now, Nix likes looking at them and following them with his eyes. Greylen is learning letters and numbers and there are some great bath toys that can even help with that!
Products you can trust
Have you read Nixon’s birth story? If so, you may remember that we had a bit of a rough start. If not, long story short, Nixon had an 8-day NICU stay which was really emotional and scary for me. I’d be lying if I told you that I don’t still get worried about him from time to time. The good thing is, I don’t have to worry about what I’m putting on his skin. JOHNSON’S® was not only recommended to us by the hospital but they even gifted us some in our little take home bag. As a millennial mom, I remember using JOHNSON’S® products when I was little and now they are even better and safer than ever. Their newly reformulated line contains over 90% naturally derived ingredients. Both of my kids seem to have super sensitive skin so I’m definitely into that benefit. One less thing to worry about! I’ll take it!
I think I’ve tried every single JOHNSON’S® baby product but we just started using the new COTTONTOUCH™ Newborn Wash & Shampoo for Nix and I’m really liking it so far (the Bedtime Bath is also a favorite and the smell will always remind me of when Grey was little). It’s absorbs quickly and leaves his skin so soft. I love that it’s specifically made for the newborn stage! After bath time, Nixon gets some COTTONTOUCH™ lotion and G gets a spritz of No More Tangles Detangling Spray (I totally remember this from when I was younger! Do you?!). People pay big bucks for hair like hers (the color and texture – amazing!) so I want to keep it as healthy as possible for as long as possible!
I’ve been frequenting Walgreen’s for baby products lately…probably a little too much because Greylen definitely knows some of the employees by name! I love the fact that it’s convenient (they are everywhere!) and open 24/7. In fact, just the other day we were on our way up to the lake and I realized I forgot to pack all of the kid’s toiletries. I was able to make a quick pitstop at Walgreen’s and got everything I needed without having to turn around. You have to love a good one-stop-shop!

Hooded bath towels
I mean, is there anything cuter than a freshly washed babe in a towel? Nope! The towels with the hoods on them keep small babies warm and feeling secure after their bath. If Nix is fussing at all during his bath, he stops as soon as the towel is wrapped around him. It doesn’t get better than a burrito baby!
I have so many memories of little Grey in her jams. Of all of the outfits we have for her, her PJs are some of my favorites! I’m sure the same will go for Nixon!
