Let’s be honest, there aren’t a lot of things I don’t like about blogging. However, I thought it would be fun to do something a little different today and talk about why I love this “job” and everything that comes with it. If you’re on the fence about starting a blog, I urge you to just go for it! You won’t regret it!
Blogging has helped me appreciate the little things. The embroidered detail on a dress. The great service at a local restaurant. I tend to notice those things now because I get excited to share them with my readers!
Blogging has made me love my city even more. I have explored new areas, tried different restaurants and attended local events that I probably wouldn’t have without blogging. I LOVE Cleveland, I love writing about Cleveland and I love sharing Cleveland with other people. Blogging has proven that over and over again.
Blogging has allowed me to create a business. I never thought 3 years ago that my little corner of the internet would contribute to my family’s income but I’m so grateful that it does.
Blogging has helped me make new friends. Whether its a fellow blogger, someone I meet at an event or just a reader that emails me a question, I have met so many people because of blogging and I absolutely love my little “community!”
Blogging has helped me capture some of my best memories. Whether it was my wedding, the birth of my daughter or just a really fun dinner, my blog serves as a digital “scrapbook” of sorts. I can always look back at posts and remember!
Blogging has improved my photography skills. The photos I took for my first posts are kindaaaaa embarrassing but as time goes on, I am becoming more comfortable with my camera and my photography skills. I definitely want to continue to improve and even take a class or two. It’s definitely a passion I never knew I had until I started blogging!
Blogging has made me more confident. I used to cringe when someone saw me taking outfit photos in a public place. Now? I couldn’t care less. I have more confidence in my website, my brand and most importantly, myself.
