Cleveland gift guide 2020

I think we can all agree that it’s never been more important to shop local and support small businesses. Here are some of my favorite Cleveland gift picks this year:

Cleveland apparel from Emily Roggenburk
My brother got me my first t-shirt from the Emily Roggenburk shop last year and I was hooked! Her stuff is really unique (she even has one of a kind pieces that repurpose pre-loved items) and recognizable. I just got a few things for football season! I LOVE this sweat set…that’s all any of us are wearing in 2020, right?! You can shop online or in-person at Crocker Park on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Blair Ritchy handbag
I don’t personally have one of these but I’ve only heard rave reviews. Just looking at Blair’s Instagram is enough to make me want pretty much everything. I think this bag is so chic, stylish, and versatile! Free shipping over $150.

Oceanne empowered women tee
My mother-in-law got me this t-shirt and I always get so many compliments on it. Such a cool design with an important message. I have styled it so many ways – the possibilities are endless. Also check out Oceanne for jewelry and other gifts!

The Joyful Co. mug
I love these cute mugs! Meach started The Joyful Co. earlier this year with a mission of injecting joy into the everyday (we could all use that, right?!). Meach is such a positive person – I have been loving her content and inspiration! She has some fun gift guides on her site and she’s always offering free downloadables and printables, too!

Jewelry from Bombay Taxi Boutique
Shibani offers jewelry handcrafted in Cleveland and India. I love her concept because she drops new designs monthly – there is always something new and unique! I can attest to Shibani’s vibrant personality – she is passionate about Cleveland and others, making this the perfect small business to support this season. And, can we talk about these tassel earrings?! My readers can use the code ‘RACHEL10’ for 10% off your purchase until 12/31.

Cleveland in a calendar
This is definitely one of the most unique gifts I have come across! It’s a Cleveland countdown to Christmas…what could be better?! It looks like the 2019 box included apparel, local foods, home goods…and it says this year’s box is even bigger! The only caveat here is that you would have to give this gift on 12/1 instead of Christmas but who has ever complained about an early Christmas present?

Local foods
There are so many Cleveland gift options for your favorite foodie. Some local favorites include Little Lakewood Pasta Co., Mitchell’s (their packaged toppings would make awesome stocking stuffers), Cleveland Bagel Co. Everything Mix, Campbell’s popcorn, and Witzi’s Granola.

Luliluli moses basket
Great for the new or expecting mama in your life! A moses basket has been on my list for baby boy and I was excited to find that there is a local Cleveland company that offers them. Their handcrafted baskets are beautiful and the wood rocking stand completes the look. Luliluli officially launches on November 17th so follow them on Instagram and keep your eyes peeled!

Shore Society print
Shore Society prints are always a go-to for me! We have multiple in my house, my family’s lake house, and at my parents! This is the print currently hanging on our Cleveland wall! I also think she is a great blogger and content creator – so inspiring (her house is to dieeee for)! Check her out for other gifts as well – apparel, candles, mugs, and more.

Ice+Jam lipkit
Colorful long-lasting lipsticks with witty names? I’m in. What a fun stocking stuffer! The lipkits come with a JAM lipstick (I want to try HiMyNameIs and Willy!) and an ICE plumper. To top it all off, the company was started by two female best friends…love it!

Fount belt
Fount is known for their handbags but let me introduce you to their belts! I have the half moon belt in Goldenrod and the quality is just what you would expect from Fount – well-made, durable, and stylish! I love the ‘Send a Hint’ feature on their website. I sent my husband the hint email before my birthday – no shame (it worked)! Just as an FYI, I found that these run really small so definitely size up.

Family photo session
I’ve suggested this before and I’ll suggest it again. Gifting family photos/newborn photos/maternity photos/etc. is one of the best gifts that keeps on giving. I suggest checking out Emma from Little Bit Perfect (Cleveland based) and Colleen from Colleen Schmidt Photography (Toledo + Cleveland based).

THD Shoppe apparel
Minimalistic, modern, and chic…I can’t think of better words to describe my dream clothing shop! THD Shoppe is just that. They offer high quality yet affordable clothing, accessories, and more. Plus, Stella is just so cool and classic¬†so I know that everything in her shop is going to be on trend but will also become a closet staple! I am loving this oversized sweater and this cardigan. Join her email list for 15% off.

Again, it’s all about supporting local this year so consider gift cards to their favorite local salon, gift cards to restaurants for takeout, using local bakers for holiday desserts, and checking out local pop-ups (like Home for the Holidays in Lakewood) and shops for more Cleveland gift ideas!
