fall outfit inspiration + tax free weekend

There’s just something about fall that still reminds me of back to school shopping. You too? I remember getting so excited each year to go to the mall with my mom to pick out a couple new outfits and some shoes before school started. It would take me hours to pick out the perfect things – I loved it! I know it’s a little early to be thinking about fall but hear me out! This coming weekend (August 5th-7th) is Ohio tax free weekend aka the perfect time to get your fall shopping done and save in the process. Tax free items include clothes, shoes and bags that cost $75 or less. Done and done!

In preparation for tax free weekend and back to school shopping, I’ve partnered with Great Lakes Mall to share three fall looks as inspiration. I have to admit, before this partnership, I had never been to Great Lakes Mall but I loved my experience! It’s always good to switch it up when it comes to shopping and Great Lakes has a ton of my favorites – Forever 21, H&M, Macy’s, Journeys and Francesca’s!

Look #1: An otherwise summery dress (like this off the shoulder beauty!) can be perfect for fall when paired with the right accessories. In my case, a wool hat and some suede booties did the trick! And, I’m obsessed with the camel colored purse. I think it looks way more expensive than it was (under $18!).

Look #2: I have seen a ton of olive green and burgundy out for fall so these pants were a no brainer! I know I will wear them all season long and well into winter. And, I just love the zipper detail on this sweater. Dare I say that big sweaters are actually getting me excited for cooler weather?!

Look #3: Nothing screams fall like flannel. And, I love the look of it tied over some denim! I totally did not think I could pull of a jean skirt until I tried this one from H&M. I absolutely love the button detail and the length – it’s perfect!
