flour
For my birthday dinner on Monday Ben took me to Flour. After sampling their eggplant meatballs last year at the Autism Speaks Chef Gala, it’s been high on my list of places to try in Cleveland.
Flour describes themselves as rustic Italian and I’d say it’s exactly that. With thin crust wood-fired pizzas, homemade pasta and a great wine list, it’s the perfect place for a girls night out or a date night.
We ordered a lot of food (it was my birthday after all!). I got the Ricotta Angolotti (ricotta ravioli with a carrot purree, mint and breadcrumbs) and the eggplant meatballs. We also split a cheese pizza. Everything we got was fabulous. EVERYTHING. So fabulous that I’m still craving it all days later. I was too full get dessert but I will certainty be returning to try it.
What I love:
- The eggplant meatballs are to die for. I’m not a big meat eater so I love when places put a vegetarian twist on something typically meaty.
- On Mondays all pizzas are $8 and beer is $2 off – it was a nice surprise when we arrived!
- The homemade pasta is absolutely delicious and I love that you can order a small or a large portion. The small is perfect if you want to try something else with it.
All in all, Flour is worth a visit (or 10). Go there. Get the meatballs. Leave happy.

Always a good east-side spot! Glad that you enjoyed it. They also do a great meat and cheese board. Happy belated birthday, as well.
