greylen’s nursery
Turning our guest room into Greylen’s room was the most fun I’ve ever had completing a home decor project. I knew I wanted it to look like an extension of our house and not necessarily like a baby’s room so we kept the paint a tan color, chose white furniture (some that my mom actually painted for us – thanks mom!) and added small pops of blue, pink and gold color throughout. It’s by far my favorite place in our house.
At my shower, we had a ‘make your own headband’ station and the headbands turned out so cute that I wanted to display them in Grey’s room. Everyone also brought a book to the shower in lieu of a card so she has quite the library already started!
Creating this gallery wall was my favorite part of decorating her room. My mom and I literally spent hours in Hobby Lobby laying things out on the floor until we finally decided on all of these pieces (thanks mom again!). I loved the thought of hanging some of her clothes in plain sight so we added hooks to the wooden arrow – I love how it turned out!
Since we didn’t share her name, we couldn’t hang the monogram until we got home from the hospital and I was sooo excited when we finally put it up!
All in all, I had a blast decorating and love how it turned out. I hope she loves it as much as I do!
