another local gift idea: children’s museum of cleveland
We had so much fun at the new and improved Children’s Museum of Cleveland a couple weeks ago! I honestly can’t get over this place. First off, it’s huge! The museum is now housed in the Stager Beckwith mansion which is absolutely beautiful. And, there is so much for Greylen to do! I never know if she is too young to go to places like this but it was perfect for her age. There are currently 4 “exhibits” – Wonder Lab (water tables and tracks), Adventure City (a HUGE jungle gym, “market,” reading nooks), Making Miniatures (a collection of dolls and dollhouses) and Arts & Parts (an art studio with various projects). Grey’s favorite part was the Adventure City area. She loved climbing around and playing with everything. My favorite part was how clean and organized everything was. Seriously so impressive!
We had so much fun that I bought a membership on the spot (tip: I was able to use the cost of admission towards a membership at the end of my visit). According to the website, you can’t purchase a membership as a gift this year (the deadline was December 1) but you can purchase a gift card in the denomination of a visit or a membership! It would be the coolest present for your kids, nieces, nephews, etc.!

We actually went there today for the first time. It was very nice, kind of pricey but nice. It was also crazy crowded. Maybe a combination of Saturday and it being “new.” Looked like they would be adding more exhibits in the future which will be nice.
