mallorca

From Madrid, we took a short plane ride (about an hour) to the absolutely beautiful island of Mallorca for some beach time, relaxation and lots and lots of coffee, wine and cheese. We stayed at the St. Regis Mardavall and it was insane, definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. There was a fabulous pool, a private beach, those floral arches I mentioned yesterday and the most decadent breakfast I’ve ever had in my life (check out that macchiato below).
Mid-day (or any time of day) happy hours were the name of the game on our balcony. We went to the grocery store (so fun to do in another country!) and stocked up on all the wine, crackers and cheese we could carry. Bottles of wine were about 3 euro soooo needless to say, I was in heaven.
Though I loved hanging out at the pool and beach, one of my favorite parts of the trip was the day that we rented a car and toured parts of the island. The island is made up of a bunch of little towns and ports – we stopped at Andratx, Valldemossa, Deia and Soller. We took winding little mountain roads to get to each place and stopped for the beautiful views along the way. It was so cool to see how different each place was. I loved them all!
We ended our road trip with some sangria in the little beach town of Soller. It was a day I’ll never forget!
All in all, Mallorca (and our entire vacation) was great and I’m already looking forward to planning my next trip back!
