shop small: gifts from cleveland

Today’s gift guide is one of my favorites because these ideas can all be found at locally-based businesses! My love for Cleveland runs deep and all of these business owners definitely share that same passion. Shopping small/local is SO rewarding and often results in the most unique gifts! Here are some of my favorite Cleveland-based gift ideas this year:

Cards from Post Paper Goods
Sara is not only my best friend but the creative genius behind Post Paper Goods, a local company known for witty greeting cards, prints, custom design work and Cleveland apparel. Her Cleveland Christmas cards are PERFECT to send out to family and friends and are sure to be one of the most unique cards they receive. To get some, contact her directly to order, find her product at local shops such as Architectural Justice or visit her at Lago’s Holiday Wine Down this Wednesday…I go every year and it’s a fun way to get a lot of local shopping done!

Candles from Aroma Soy
I got my first Aroma Soy candle in a PR package recently and I am in love! Aroma Soy candles are nontoxic, made with high quality materials and are hand-crafted in Brunswick. I have the small (4oz) blood orange scent and it has burned for a really long time. The smell is amazing and fills my entire house every time I use it. I love how their 10oz jars look and think one would make the perfect gift!

Family photos
If you’ve gotten married or had a baby in the last year, you’re in luck because printing and framing professional photos for parents, grandparents, etc. is like the easiest gift ever. I also think it would be fun to gift someone a family session with a local photographer. We have used Little Bit Perfect, Ashley Sasak Photography and Tess Smith Photography. All are fantastic!

Jewelry from Bombay Taxi
Shibani is a friend and the owner of Bombay Taxi where you will find a curated selection of limited-edition jewelry (she carries no more than 25 of each piece). Shibani is a transplant from Mumbai and so a lot of the jewelry is hand-crafted by local artisans in India. I wore a couple of Bombay Taxi pieces on Thanksgiving and got a ton of compliments! I love Shibani’s style but what I love most of all is what a positive light she is in the Cleveland community!

Holiday decor from Laura of Pembroke
I recently stocked up on holiday decor from Laura of Pembroke (see this post for some of my finds). They have some great gifts from ornaments to holiday-themed kitchenware. If you aren’t looking for something holiday-related, they also have clothes, bags, shoes and a huge collection of home decor. It’s truly a one-stop-shop!

Prints from Loose Leaf Creative
I adore Kim from Loose Leaf Creative as a person and as an artist! She does custom calligraphy work and even teaches hand lettering classes. Her Instagram is one of my favorite accounts to follow because not only is it inspiring but she definitely keeps it real! A custom print (a favorite quote, saying, song lyric, etc.) would be the perfect gift for someone decorating a home or someone who just needs a daily dose of inspiration.

Cleveland wall decor
You just can never go wrong with some Cleveland wall decor. Most of the items on our Cleveland wall are from Shore Society, Banyan TreeArchitectural Justice, Where I’m From and Cuyahoga Collective. All are some of my favorite Cleveland shops and each one carries tons of other unique gifts!
