striped midi + cinderella at playhouse square

Rarely do I go to a show at Playhouse Square and come out of it raving about the costumes. The music? The dancing? Always. But I guess I always overlook the costumes. Cinderella? Not the case. For example, you know the part of the story where the Fairy Godmother transforms the rags Cinderella is wearing into a beautiful ballgown? Yeah, they did that all on stage. With her hair changing and everything. I was sitting in the second row and I still have NO idea how they made it happen (seriously I’ve been watching YouTube videos all day to try and figure it out). All in all, the show is a modern take on the classic and it was great. There are a very, very limited number of tickets left so if you want to go, get on it. And be sure to check out the upcoming shows at Playhouse (the Broadway lineup starting in October is fabbbbbbbulous).

I wore a striped midi dress that I recently picked up from Forever 21 (it was under $10!). Midi dresses are so underrated. I love the way they look and wouldn’t mind grabbing a couple more, especially at this price point!

dress: forever 21 (it has to still be in store, I got it like 2 days ago! Similar & similar here)
shoes: steven
bag: botkier (love this one)
necklaces: h&m (similar)
sunglasses: forever 21

My sister’s outfit was also really cute so I figured I would share it. Originally I picked out the romper for myself but it looked wayyyy cuter on her so I let her get it. Best. sister. ever.
