I don’t think I’ve ever wanted my house to look more like anything than The Plum Cafe & Kitchen. This new Cleveland spot is seriously right up my alley. My mom and I stopped in for a cup of coffee the other day and ended up staying for lunch. The place is just so inviting!
What I love:
- The decor, the decor, the decor. Oh, did I mention the decor? Seriously onnnnn point! Exposed brick, rustic wood, subway tile, lots of white…I was literally in heaven. My mom and I were there for 25 minutes and talked about the decor for 24 of them. My house will look like this, guys. Someday.
- Our waitress was telling us about their dinner concept and it’s so cool. Food comes out as it’s ready, not necessarily all at once and the point is to share. So basically you can have a little of this, a little of that, and call it a day. The dinner menu isn’t too huge (lunch menu is pictured above and the dinner menu is a little bigger with different offerings) so if you went with a big group, you could probably try one of everything. YUM.
- I’ve read that the craft cocktails are delish. It probably wasn’t appropriate to order one at 11am with a baby (though I’m not above it…) so we didn’t try any. We did get some sodas (creme soda and root beer) and both were great. They have a fun selection!
- I will say the menu is a bit out there so it forces you to step outside your comfort zone a little bit. I loved the green bean salad and the cookie I grabbed on the way out. I regretted not getting a sandwich, though. Guess I need to go back!
