the rowley inn
PSA: this is not your typical bar food. I was invited to a blogger event at The Rowley Inn a couple of weeks ago and it was SO good that I ended up going back a couple of days later. The bar is located caddy-corner to The Christmas Story house and it’s definitely a hidden gem in the Tremont area!
What I love:
- Let’s start with the blogger event I attended. We were treated to a menu sampling consisting of fried pickles, the southwest chicken salad (my fave!), grilled cheese, the Clevelander burger, mac n’ cheese (delish!), chicken and waffles and more. The food did. not. stop. coming. And like I mentioned above, it isn’t typical bar food. Everything we sampled was fresh and delicious, and I loved the variety of unique menu items. I was full for days!
- Sometimes a place is so good that you have to go 2x in one week. And, that’s exactly what I did. My mom, Grey and I stopped by and ordered a meal fit for a 5 year old (but elevated x100). We had the mac and cheese (I had to have it again) and the house-made chicken fingers and french fries. Sometimes that kind of lunch just hits the spot!
- This place is so Cleveland and proud of it! From the leg lamp in the front window to the Christmas Story themed cocktail list to their emphasis on pierogies, they definitely wear their Cleveland pride on their sleeve! The bar has been in business since 1906, and originally served as a third-shift bar, opening at 5:30am (which it still does, daily!).
- They serve brunch on Saturday (hard to find!) and Sunday. I can’t wait to go back for brunch. 3 visits in 2 weeks is acceptable, right?!

I could tell you went back because of the photos – definitely much better than when we were at the blogger event ???? I can’t stop thinking about the Mac ‘n Cheese either – sooooo good!

Hahaha, same as what Crystal said – much better lighting for the pics! I’m gonna have to go back, like, ASAP. I’m thinking of doing brunch there the day after our Friendsgiving celebration. Chicken & waffles to soak up the hangover!

Such a good idea! I want to go again for brunch. I am now officially a regular.
