wedding series: the looks

I knew I wanted a very classic feel when it came to our wedding colors and overall look. We ended up choosing a monochromatic color palette – lots of creams, tans and golds. I loved the look of the lace on my dress (it was lace but not the scratchy kind…more cotton-like) with the tux that Ben picked out. The bridesmaids wore tan dresses by Jenny Yoo that could be tied multiple different ways. I loved how the dresses had cohesiveness but that everyone could still make them their own.

I had always dreamed of really amazing wedding shoes and I was on the hunt for the perfect pair way before I even looked for a dress. I ended up with a pair of Christian Louboutins that I know will hold a special place in my heart forever. My hair, makeup and jewelry were pretty simple because I really wanted to let the dress (and the shoes!) stand out.

It was hard to picture everything all together as we were planning all of the little details but it all ended up coming together and I really loved the outcome.
